DURING the weekend families of eggsplorers had a chance to search the gardens at Beningbrough Hall, to solve the clues and earn their very own Cadbury Egghead prize.

This year’s Cadbury Explorers Easter Egg Trails were able to take place in some of the most amazing locations in Britain thanks to Cadbury teaming up with The National Trust.

As part of the Royals: then and now portrait display at Beningbrough Hall, this year’s trail was fit for any prince or princess. To complete the trail families had to hunt for lost crowns hidden around the site, find the famous royal faces in the portraits and test their knowledge with quiz questions.

Families were also able to meet the Easter Bunny, compete in an egg and spoon race and decorate an egg for the gallery.

Joanne Parker, events and marketing coordinator, said: “The Easter weekend is such a popular time full of families making the most of the time off together.

“This year’s challenge was created to suit the oldest to the youngest with activities planned to deal with any weather.

“There’s no age restriction so we find lots of big kids like to join in too, to earn their chocolate prize!”
