Lotto cash for Dales’ beauty spot

A CONSERVATION scheme aimed at improving and protecting part of the Yorkshire Dales has received Lottery backing.

The Heritage Lottery Fund has agreed in principle to pay Harrogate Borough Council £1.2 million for conservation work in Upper Nidderdale, which it said was a “dramatic part of Yorkshire's countryside and had huge diversity.
