Crash driver in ‘serious but stable’ condition

A MAN was airlifted to hospital following a collision near Dishforth.

A silver Golf travelling south on the A168 between Highfields Lane and Kirby Hill roundabout collided with a green Peugeot 106 travelling in the opposite direction at about 8.40pm on Friday.

The Peugeot driver, a 26-year-old man from the Boroughbridge area, was airlifted to James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough, with serious injuries where he was yesterday in a serious but stable condition, police said.

The driver of the Golf, a woman in her 30s, also from the Boroughbridge area sustained slight injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to phone North Yorkshire Police on 101.
