Developer unveils 153 homes plan

DEVELOPERS have unveiled controversial plans to build 153 homes in a North Yorkshire town.

The Church Fields scheme in Boston Spa will include a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties, and was approved following a public inquiry last March after almost a quarter of residents opposed the plans.

Showhomes are expected to be opened later this year and Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said the firm would open the site to visitors in early summer.

She said: “We will offer a range of schemes to help first-time buyers get on to the property ladder and for those looking to take a step up the ladder.”
