House searched in Knaresborough

COUNTER terrorism officers searched a house in Knaresborough as part of a number of nationwide raids yesterday morning.

Five men were arrested nationally on suspicion of publishing or distributing written material which may stir up racial hatred, while properties in Knaresborough and Leeds were searched in connection with offences under the Public Order Act.

Police recovered a range of items including computers, laptops and mobile phones.
