AN ELECTRICITY sub-station was destroyed when a car crashed into it and it set on fire.
The incident happened at the Jennyfields Estate in Harrogate at about 8.25pm on Friday.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said no-one was hurt in the collision or fire, and three fire crews were sent to the scene to tackle the blaze.
Crews extinguished the fire and removed the vehicle.
