Rural bus blow

A COMMUNITY transport scheme which covers rural parts of North Yorkshire has gone into administration.

Little Red Bus Craven was set up by Bentham Development Trust in 2000, but is currently being investigated by police over claims that up to £28,000 of taxpayers’ funds had been fraudulently taken from its accounts.

A North Yorkshire County Council spokeswoman said the authority would work with Harrogate District Community Transport to ensure services in the area were maintained “with minimal disruption”.
