THE victim of a crash on a road between York and Harrogate has been named.
Hugh Michael Devine, 69, from Harrogate, died after the blue Renault Kangoo van he was driving was involved in a collision with a grey Volvo estate on the A59 at Flaxby last Friday afternoon.
An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned yesterday.
Anybody who witnessed the crash should phone the Harrogate road policing group on 0845 60 60 247.
