Arrest follows alleged beer garden assault
A 44-YEAR-OLD Harrogate man has been arrested in connection with an alleged serious assault in a pub’s beer garden.
The incident happened at Wetherspoons Royal Baths pub in Parliament Street, Harrogate, at about 7.30pm on Saturday.
A 51-year-old Harrogate man, who suffered a serious head injury, remains in a critical condition at Harrogate District Hospital.
A man from the York area, aged 43, also suffered facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
The arrested man was being questioned in custody yesterday afternoon.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation are being urged to call police.
