ONE of the best-known etiquette experts in the UK is to visit Harrogate’s Spa Sweethearts WI next month.
William Hanson, who regularly features on television and radio to give advice on correct behaviour in different situations, will speak at the group’s meeting on September 11.
Committee member Rebecca Drew, who invited Mr Hanson to the meeting, said: “I first saw William Hanson at another event in Manchester when he was talking about the etiquette of afternoon tea and I thought he would be a perfect fit for us – he’s very knowledgeable but his delivery is light-hearted and humorous.
“The meeting will cover meeting and greeting, table manners and dress codes, so we can go to any social occasion with confidence in the future.”
The Spa Sweethearts meeting is open to guests at £5 per person, including tea and cake, and there is no need to register in advance. It takes place at St George’s Social Club, St George’s Road, Harrogate, on Thursday, September 11 at 7.30pm.
