A KNIFE-wielding robber attacked a bookmakers in Harrogate.
The incident happened at Coral on Knaresborough Road at about 8pm on Thursday, July 31, when the suspect threatened a member of staff with a knife before making off on foot with cash.
Nobody was harmed but the victim was left very shaken.
Police launched a manhunt and have stepped up patrols to reassure local residents while the investigation continues.
The suspect, who is white, had covered his face, but was wearing a dark hat, dark jacket and was carrying a dark holdall bag.
Detective Constable Fiona Ayre said: “We are doing everything we can to investigate this very concerning incident which has left the member of staff in a state of shock. It happened at a fairly busy time of day with people walking and driving in the area, so please get in touch if you recall seeing a man dressed in dark clothing and carrying a holdall either before or after the robbery at around 8pm.
“Even the smallest piece of information could be very important.”
