A MANHUNT has been launched to find a Harrogate man wanted for return to prison.
Wayne Richard Porter, 28, was sent to prison for two years in February 2013 for possession of drugs with intent to supply, and released in February this year.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said Porter was wanted for recall to prison as he has breached his release conditions, and urged anyone who has seen him to contact them.
Porter is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, with a medium build and dark brown hair. Police believe he is in the Harrogate area, but said he also has links in Humberside.
Detective Sergeant Kevin Kelly, of Harrogate CID, said: "Wayne, if you see or hear this appeal, my advice is simple hand yourself in. we have a good track record of returning wanted people to prison. By remaining at large you are only making the inevitable outcome worse for yourself.
"I am also asking members of the public who see Porter to contact the police straight away. Officers have already visited addresses to which Porter has links. These visits will continue until he is back in custody. If you are shielding him you are not helping Porter, you are only making matters worse. In fact you even be committing offences yourself and if so, you face the prospect of arrest and prosecution."
Anyone with information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
