Friends head to Monte Carlo in ‘roof garden’ car
FOUR friends are hoping to turn heads when their less then luxurious car rolls into one of the richest places on the planet.
The Roof Garden Street Jammers, from Knaresborough, will set off in their Jeep Cherokee - complete with a roof garden and patio - from Saint Quentin, France, tomorrow as they compete in the Monte Carlo Or Bust rally.
The thrill-seekers have three days to complete the 592 mile trip on a shoestring £250 budget, before making their own way home from the principality. Funds are being raised for the Association of Young people with ME (AYME), to help those suffering from the medical condition.
