A THIEF stole cash and jewellery during a sneak-in burglary in Hookstone Chase, Harrogate.
North Yorkshire Police said the householder answered the door to a woman who claimed to be a salesperson, and spoke to her for some time.
The woman was white, in her late twenties or early thirties, with a large build. She was wearing white leggings and vest top, and was carrying a clipboard.
Detective Constable Dan Ridgeway, of Harrogate CID, said: “If you were the woman who was in the Hookstone Chase area around the time of the burglary (9am to 10am on June 22), I urge you to come forward and contact the police as you may have vital information which could help my inquiries. I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have also been approached by this woman, and ask them to get in touch.”
Anyone with information should contact Harrogate CID on 101, email daniel.ridgeway@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
