MEMBERS of the public are to have their say on plans to reduce the number of buildings used by 500 council employees in Harrogate.
Harrogate Borough Council currently has five buildings around the town but wants to consolidate its accommodation to save money.
The council’s preferred option is a purpose-built headquarters at Knapping Mount, or cutting down to three of its current buildings: Crescent Gardens, Springfield House and Scottsdale House.
The consultation opened yesterday [Monday] and will run for 10 weeks until early August. There will be public exhibitions around the district started in Ripon Town Hall on Wednesday, June 4 from 10am-2pm.
