A MAN shouted at a 61-year-old dog walker to put his pet on a lead and then assaulted him.
North Yorkshire Police say the dog walker was going along Dragon Avenue, Harrogate, on the evening of Saturday, May 10, when he was followed by another man aged between 25 and 30, who shouted at him to put his pet on a lead.
Police said as the victim approached Mornington Crescent, he turned to ask the man to leave him alone and was punched in the face, knocking him to the ground. The man continued to shout at the victim before he was moved away by other members of the public and he walked off in the direction of Dragon Parade. The victim suffered minor injuries.
