THE Dean of Ripon, the Very Rev Keith Jukes, has dedicated the magnificent new cathedral glass doors which were donated by Yorkshire businessman and entrepreneur Paul Sykes.
The ancient wooden doors have been restored and inside glass doors installed which offer a unique and wonderful view into the cathedral for tourists, and for worshippers alike.
Mr Sykes, who has been the Cathedral’s main benefactor for two decades, said: “Ripon Cathedral is the vital beating heart of Ripon, attracting hundreds of thousands to our community each year and bringing much needed trade to local businesses.”
