Police are appealing for information following a break-in at a North Yorkshire village shop.
Burglars struck at about 1am on Monday at the shop in The Cobbles, Whixley, between York and Harrogate.
They damaged the interior of the shop and stole a small amount of cash and some cigarettes.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area or witnessed the break-in to contact them.
Anyone who saw or heard anything in the early hours of Monday morning is urged to contact Boroughbridge safer neighbourhood team, by phoning 101, selecting option two and asking for PC Neil Roworth.
