A MANHUNT is under way after a robbery in Harrogate.
The victim, a 47-year-old local man, suffered cuts and bruising to his face when he was attacked in St Andrew’s Avenue on Sunday.
He had been heading towards Cawthorne Avenue at about 1.10pm when a small white van pulled up alongside him.
A man got out of the van and repeatedly punched the victim in the face while demanding money.
The attacker then got back in the van and left empty-handed.
Det Segt Fionna McEwan, of Harrogate CID, said: “Fortunately, the victim was not seriously injured in the incident but has been left with visible injuries to his face.”
Anyone with information is asked to phone police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
