A NORTH Yorkshire MP is urging elderly residents to check out ways to stay warm this winter.
Andrew Jones, MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough, is urging people to call the Home Heat Helpline after research revealed that many households in Harrogate and Knaresborough could get help with fuel bills.
The helpline is a free service that connects those on low incomes and those in poor health with support including grants for insulation, new boilers and rebate schemes.
