SUPERMARKET giant Tesco is planning to open a store on the site of a disused pub in a North Yorkshire market town.
The firm has applied for planning permission to extend the Kings Head pub in Bedale and turn it into a supermarket, but town councillors are expected to raise concerns with Hambleton District Council about delivery times.
