Community hero awards nominations still open
 NOMINATIONS are still open for the Hambleton Community Awards.
The awards recognise unsung heroes in the community and their contributions to community groups, service to young, old and disabled people, and other areas.
The scheme was set up by Hambleton District Council and will lead to a ceremony in March, but nominations for the ten categories are only open until January 18.
For more information on the award categories, or to nominate someone, go to hambleton.gov.uk/communityawards or any Hambleton District Council leisure centre.
