NORTH Yorkshire’s anti-travelling criminal squad arrested three people at Wetherby Services after two men allegedly tried to use fake £50 notes in Northallerton.
Police spotted the trio’s car as it headed south down the A1 just after lunchtime on Monday. They arrested two men aged 36 and 17 on suspicion of fraud by false representation and a woman aged 36 on suspicion of possessing a Class B drug. All three were from Manchester and were released on bail pending further police inquiries.
They are the latest arrests under Operation Hawk, North Yorkshire Police’s campaign against travelling and cross-border criminals
