A NORTH Yorkshire country house will be lit up by candlelight for an evening of music from the 16th and 17th centuries on Thursday evening.
Kiplin Hall, near Northallerton, is taking part in Museums At Night, and will use candles supplied by Charles Farris, of London, which holds a Royal Warrant and supplies candles to illuminate national events in Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral.
The evening will also feature readings from books taken from the library of the 17th century house, which was built during the reign of King James I.
