A DRIVER who was killed in a North Yorkshire crash last weekend has been named.
John Andrew Sheldrake, 61, of Stockton-on-Tees, died when his black Vauxhall Meriva came off the road on the B1263 near East Cowton, in the Northallerton area, last Sunday, and hit a tree.
Mr Sheldrake was pronounced dead at the scene and an inquest has since been opened and adjourned.
North Yorkshire Police have asked anybody who can help their investigation into the crash to phone 101, select option two and ask for Traffic Constable Reece Williams.
