Pocklington Montessori, the UK’s largest, purpose-built, independent Montessori School based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, has achieved national recognition under a new accreditation programme.
Pocklington Montessori achieved its Montessori accreditation on the 4th December 2009, just three months after the school received an exceptional Ofsted inspection report, which highlighted the school’s outstanding Early Years Foundation Stage (0-5 years).
The school will be building on its success by gradually introducing the Key Stage 2 curriculum from September 2010. This will be done by starting a Year 3 class in September 2010 and then incrementally each year adds another class to Year 6. The aim is to offer a wider choice to parents in the area with the school offering the benefits of a quality Montessori education for the whole of the Primary age range.
