Pupils from Fishergate School perform Compost! The (mini)-Musical in St Sampson's Square, as part of their Climate Week celebrations.
More than 50 pupils took part in the performance which had a big twist – their musical instruments were actually made from compost bins.
The 15-minute musical included songs like What Can We Put In The Compost Bin? and Round And Round The Goodness Goes.
The aim was to teach youngsters and their audiences how to help combat global warming through worm power - by composting waste.
The musical was written by acclaimed York poet and author Anneliese Emmans Dean, who works closely with her local composting champions York Rotters.
