Askham Bryan College founded in 1948 is one of the leading land based colleges in the country. We have developed from being a purely agricultural college to being able to offer a full range of land based subjects including animal care, agriculture, outdoor adventure sport, countryside and environment management, engineering, equine, arboriculture and horticulture. Our main college campus is set in beautifully landscaped grounds just 4 miles from the historical City of York. We also have centres across the north including Guisborough, Scarborough, Bradford, Bedale, Harrogate, Thirsk, Wakefield and the recently acquired Newton Rigg College in Penrith.
At Askham Bryan College, land based education is our passion and through our knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, exceptional courses and fantastic facilities, our aim is to deliver students the best possible grounding for a career in the land based industry. We currently have 4500 students enrolled in further and higher education courses, from entry level starter courses and work based learning apprenticeships to foundation and BSc honours degrees.
We have some fantastic facilities to offer students whilst studying with us including our well equipped gym , sports pitches and brand new 3 wall climbing centre due to open in March 2012.
