Founded in the early 1960’s, The University of York has established a national and international reputation for the quality of its courses, research and teaching.

Over 11,000 students come from all over the UK and from 100 different countries in the world. On our main campus at the edge of the city of York, students live and study in a supportive environment across eight colleges. The University is set in 200 acres of landscaped parkland and offers students a wealth of facilities including catering outlets, shops, a sports centre, health centre, student cinema and concert hall. Our compact and convenient campus is criss-crossed with an excellent network of cycle paths and benefits from a fast, frequent bus service to the city centre.

The University of York is currently expanding the main campus, opening new colleges and space for teaching, learning and research.
