Students compete in Young Enterprise Trade Fair

STUDENTS had the chance to show off their business skills at a competition at the York Designer Outlet.
Teams of students, aged 15 to 19, from schools and colleges across York, competed in the Young Enterprise Trade Fair where they were given the chance to gain hands-on business experience by setting up and running their own company over the academic year, culminating in a competition to persuade shoppers in the mall to buy their wares.
The young local entrepreneurs sold items including greeting cards, personalised clothing and recycled jewellery.
The winning teams came from Harrogate High School, St Peter’s School in York and the Forest Special Needs School, Knaresborough.
