University of Southern Indiana nursing students visit York Hospital

NURSING students from the United States visited York Hospital to get an insight into the life of nurses in the UK.

The students, from the University of Southern Indiana, were welcomed by deputy chief nurse Kate Harper before visiting a number of clinical areas. The aim of the visit was to give students and staff a chance to share their experiences.

Kate Harper said: “We were delighted to host another group of students.

“The visit gives our nursing staff and the students the opportunity to explore the differences and similarities between the two healthcare systems.”
