A MAN remains in intensive care after being attacked in Warrington town centre in the early hours of Saturday.
Police say the man from Cadishead was attacked by three men and is in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
The incident started in the alleyway behind Reef Bar and Brannigans on Academy Way at 3.36am.
A short while later, the disturbance continued on Barbauld Street near to Chicago Rock Caf after three men armed themselves and attacked the man.
Police want to speak to anyone who may have seen two of the men.
The first had short fair hair, was aged between 17 and 20, of thin build and wearing a Rockport T-shirt and pale jeans.
The second man had short cut, darker hair, was also aged between 17 and 20 and was wearing a long sleeved black top and black trousers and footwear.

A man has since been arrested and was due to appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court as the went to press charged with grievous bodily harm.
