A TALENTED pianist from York has performed alongside pop stars and for royalty only months after graduating from a prestigious music college.
Emmanuel Vass, 22, of Melbourne, near Pocklington, graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester in July and has since performed alongside Lulu for Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco at Harewood House, performed a private recital for the French Ambassador and broadcast live on BBC 6music alongside Jimi Goodwin, from the band Doves. Emmanuel has also beaten tough competition to land a contract with Disney to spend four months touring and performing as a solo artist across America.
He is due to return to the area on November 26 to give a recital at Thicket Priory, at Thorganby.
Emmanuel, who went to Woldgate College in Pocklington, said: “I’m excited and really happy with how things are going.”
