THE WORLD’S largest hand-carved rocking horse has gone on show to an international audience after being crafted in East Yorkshire.
Workers at The Rocking Horse Shop, in Fangfoss, created Bigger Bertie – who stands more than four metres high and eight metres long – for a display at the WorldSkills London 2011 contest, which sees more than 1,000 young people from across the world competing in 46 difference activities. Master carver Anthony Dew said: “Designing and making Bigger Bertie has been an extremely satisfying project.”
