THE life of a tireless charity fundraiser will be commemorated in a two-month exhibition in her East Yorkshire town.

Goole Museum will show the Charity Begins at Home exhibition in honour of the late Olive Hunt from January 23 to March 31.

Staff are urging residents to join in by contributing their memories of the woman who ran a charity shop in the town for many years before her death.

The museum is also asking for help in finding a school photograph of her class when she was at Goole Secondary Modern School.

Goole Museum curator, Debbie Hardy said: “We would like to thank Olive’s family and friends who have worked with us to make sure we get things right.

“This time of year should be all about charity and kindness, so please take the time to write down your memories of Olive.

“This exhibition will remind us about the good things that happened and continue to happen in our community, and that is always worth celebrating.”
