THE East Riding has come out as a top performer in the Yorkshire and Humber region for social care quality of life and employing adults with mental health needs according to a recent government report.

The findings come from the Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework, which was introduced by the Department of Health three years ago to monitor national performance outcomes in the adult social care sector.

The report also places the East Riding at the top of the table for provision of information and advice, people who feel safe, and people who feel safe as a result of the services they receive within the adult social care sector.

Councillor Richard Harrap, East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s portfolio holder for adult and carer services said: “The East Riding has been working with local authorities across Yorkshire and Humberside to improve outcomes in the adult and social care sector. As a result of this the overall performance in the region is strong.”
