A NUMBER of households in East Yorkshire will get their council tax collected later than usual this month.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has said that it had experienced a technical problem when attempting to collect direct debit payments from the bank accounts of a small number of their customers on Monday.
“We have written to those affected to let them know that the direct debit payment will now be collected on Monday, December 29 and that no action on their part is required,” said a spokeswoman for the council.
“We have also confirmed that future direct debit payments will now be collected on the 15th of the month.”
