A BURGLAR has stolen numerous items of jewellery from the home of an elderly woman in Riviera Drive, Bridlington.
Humberside Police said the woman was alone in the front room when the door bell went, but she did not answer the door as she thought it might be a cold caller.
Shortly afterwards, a man wandered into the living room and, faced with the occupant, left the property, but stole a rose gold patterned locket on a 24 inch larke link; a rose gold chain with a dent in the back with a photo of a lady inside; a yellow gold patterned locket on a 24 inch belcher chain with a photo of a man inside; gold creole ear-rings; a round ruby ring with diamonds set around the edge with one diamond missing; two cameo brooches and a gold tie pin brooch.
The man was white, aged between 30 and 40, about 5ft 7ins tall, with dark curly hair and was wearing a high-visibility orange tabard without sleeves. Anyone with information should call 101.
