A MOTORCYCLIST has died after he suffered serious injuries in a collision with a car.
The 22-year-old man, from Driffield, was riding a purple Suzuki motorbike along the B1246 in Pocklington at 4pm on Saturday when the incident involving a red Vauxhall Alglia closed the road.
He sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 36-year-old Driffield man, who was driving the car, suffered cuts to the face and shock.
The Press reported the road was closed between Keldspring Lane in Barmby Moor and Barmby Road in Pocklington on Saturday, but Humberside Police have only released details of the incident this morning.
