ENTRIES are now being accepted for a new photography competition in East Yorkshire.
Capturing The East Riding was launched last year, when more than 700 entries were received, and this year's theme is @Work, Rest and Play.
All entries can be viewed on East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Flickr site, where tips are also available on entries.
Councillor Richard Burton, portfolio holder for civic wellbeing and culture at the council, said: "We know there are a lot of good photographers in the East Riding. The first contest in 2010 demonstrated this by the sheer quality of the entries. This time around, our focus is slightly different. We are asking participants to focus on people in our local communities. Have a go and show us your take on the East Riding at work, rest and play."
Pictures must be submitted by midnight on Friday, December 12, and full contest details can be found at eastriding.gov.uk/capturing
The top 100 photographs will be exhibited at the Beverley Art Gallery, Goole Museum, Pocklington Arts Centre and The Spa Gallery, Bridlington, and the entries can be viewed at flickr.com/photos/east-riding
