FURTHER details have been released by police about a collision involving two pensioners.
An 83-year-old man was seriously injured when he was hit by a red Vauxhall Corsa being driven by a 72-year-old local man as he crossed the High Street in Market Weighton.
The incident happened just before 9.20am on Sunday.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to Hull Royal Infirmary suffering from a fracture to the pelvis and has been detained. He is described as being in a stable condition. The driver of the car was uninjured.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Humberside Police on the non- emergency number 101 referring to log 207 of October 19.
