RESIDENTS are being given the chance to shape East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s spending priorities.
The authority is launching a new format budget consultation event and online survey. A workshop event takes place at Beverley Leisure Complex at 10am on November 20, when senior managers and councillors will be on hand to join in with the discussions and activities and hear residents’ views.
Residents unable to attend can still have their say by completing an online survey that the council will launch a month earlier. Council leader Stephen Parnaby said: “It’s always interesting to hear how residents feel we should prioritise spending and we feel it’s important to involve them and feed the results and opinions raised by them into our budget setting process.”
