A Michelin-starred pub restaurant in East Yorkshire has been named National Dining Pub of the Year 2015 by The Good Pub Guide.
The Pipe and Glass Inn at South Dalton, near Beverley, took the national title after being last year’s County Dining Pub of the Year for Yorkshire.
The Pipe and Glass is run by licensees and owners Kate, who runs front of house, and James Mackenzie.
Chef James said: “We’ve always wanted the Pipe and Glass to be a great local pub that also serves fantastic food. This award shows that we’re achieving both aims. There are some fantastic pubs in the UK, and we’re delighted to bring this award to Yorkshire.”
The Good Pub Guide is now in its 33rd edition, and features the pub-goers’ recommendations, backed up by editor inspections, that determine who’s in and who’s out year on year.
The Good Pub Guide 2015 (Ebury Press, £15.99) features more than 5,000 pubs with friendly and informative descriptions.
