A VACANCY has arisen for a councillor on Howden Town Council.
A by-election to fill the vacancy will be held if ten electors of the parish write to the chief executive of East Riding of Yorkshire Council at County Hall, Beverley, East Yorkshire, HU17 9BA by Friday, July 18.
If the request is not received, the town council may fill the vacancy by co-option, with council members electing a new member from those who have expressed an interest.
To discuss the role, contact Liz Charnock, council clerk, at 17 Bridgegate, Howden, DN14 7AE.
