A DAY centre in East Yorkshire was given a golden afternoon when it welcomed a Paralympic athlete.
Trike racer David Stone, who has cerebral palsy, visited Woldhaven Day Centre in Pocklington with some of his medals, including the gold and bronze he won at the London 2012 Paralympics. He has held several world and European titles, won two other Paralympic golds and been awarded the MBE.
Michelle Graham, Woldhaven's senior day services manager, said: “David is an inspiration to all, showing people with disabilities can excel in their chosen field and achieve success.
“Many service users are taking part in the East Riding Olympic Legacy Games in July, and meeting somebody like David can help people gain the confidence to reach their potential.”
