CONCERNS have been raised over plans for a vintage motorbike museum beside a rural East Yorkshire pub.
The owners of The Goodman-ham Arms, in Goodmanham, near Market Weighton, want to build an extension to showcase landlord Vito Logozzi’s collection of old bikes, as reported previously in The Press.
But local residents and council officials have now objected or raised concerns. Suzanne Shuttleworth, environmental health officer at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said in a memo to the planning department that there had been a number of complaints about noise nuisance from the pub.
She said: “I am concerned that the extension, although small, will intensify the use of the site and lead to further noise complaints.” The local parish council and four local residents have also objected, citing a loss of parking, loss of a right of way and traffic.
