AN UPDATE on a report into the flooding in Goole will go before East Riding of Yorkshire Council today.
The report, into the floods in the area of July, is not due to be completed until next year, but the interim report has indicated that some electrical and mechanical failures in pumping equipment occurred, which led meant “the pumping capacity was reduced significantly”.
The council is attempting to find out why this happened, and the interim report has recommended temporary pumps remain in place until changes have been made to the current system.
