AN EAST Yorkshire benefit cheat falsely claimed more than £15,000, a court heard.
Claire Hall, 42, of Littondale Court, Bridlington, pleaded guilty to dishonestly making a false statement with a view to obtaining housing and council tax benefit.
Investigators from East Riding of Yorkshire Council received information stating that Hall had capital in excess of £16,000 held in six undeclared bank accounts.
Miss Hall received a three-year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £85 costs.
She will also have to repay the £15,311.89 housing and council tax benefit she fraudulently received between November 2009 to June 2012.
