THE many Yorkshire runners who took part in yesterday’s London Marathon will no doubt be putting their feet up for a well-earned rest today.
They included York friends Steven Parkinson and Paul Flint, running to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust in memory of their friend Jamie Glover, who died of cancer.
Also taking part was 55-year-old York vet Tim Stead, who hoped to raise £3,000 for the PDSA.
There will have been countless runners running for good causes yesterday, however.
Congratulations to all who took part – whatever your time.
