AARON Brown wasn’t expected to live past 30 when he was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis as a baby.

Not only has he confounded the doctors, however – he’s become one of them.

Dr Aaron Brown has just passed his 30th birthday. And the local GP is soon to be made a partner at the Elvington Medical Practice.

He doesn’t want to celebrate: not until “everyone with cystic fibrosis can celebrate reaching 30 years old and many years beyond that”.

He’s quite right. But we hope he’ll understand if we celebrate instead the inspiring example he sets to all of us.
